Advanced Studies courses are taken during the high school day, are taught by the high school teacher, and are identical to the ECC course as described in the College Catalog. The courses cost one-third the cost of ECC's tuition, set by the State University of New York.
Articulation Agreements allow students to earn credit at ECC by successfully completing certain high school courses. A sudent can enroll into a program at ECC with credits already completed in high school. Articluated credit is free of cost and is awarded after the student is accepted at ECC.
Choices in Technology is dedicated to helping students transition from high school to ECC. The staff is available to visit high schools to assist students with articulation credit and to advise students on the program that is right for them.
Summer High School Programs offered in 2008 include a Non-credit Remedial program of study and a credit bearing Summer College Expereince program. The remedial program is open to the general public of Erie County. Students elect to take these courses on their own, and upon completion, they may submit that course to their local school district and request that credit be granted. The Summer College Experience program is open to any student who is entering their junior or senior year in high school and is interested in earning college credit and exploring one of the many career areas offered at ECC.
