INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY

Goals of the program include:

• To offer the Industrial Technology program to employees in local industry to fulfill their need for training bearing degree credit in the pursuit of career objectives
• To offer an entry mode and career path for secondary school students who cannot go directly into apprenticeships or similar skilled positions in industry
• To offer opportunities for dislocated workers and persons changing careers to enter new positions that would otherwise be inaccessible
• To offer a program option that is suitable for diverse industries of the region
• To provide a means by which local industry can meet growing needs to replace skilled tradesmen, many of whom are now or soon will be of retirement age
