Program Description

Sponsored by Ford Motor Company, the ASSET program combines classroom instruction with hands-on experience in a local Ford/Lincoln dealership. Students in the ASSET program gain valuable real-life experience by working as actual employees of a modern automotive dealership service department. Students are paid during the dealership work experience to help offset the cost of attending college. Graduates receive not only an Associate in Applied Science degree from Erie Community College but also certifications from Ford Motor Company. A significant number of courses have been renumbered as part of the State University of New York's policies which promote student mobility, through transfer of academic credit, to other SUNY institutions. All courses should be numbered at the 100-200 levels. The Listing Reference contains both the old and new numbers which should aid students in their choice of courses.
