ECC students to join in AIDS Walk Buffalo
More than 30 Erie Community College students, along with ECC President Jack Quinn and Student Trustee LaRusha Blakely, will be participating in AIDS Walk Buffalo at Delaware Park at Hoyt Lake Saturday, May 30, 2009.

AIDS Walk Buffalo is a 5K fundraising walk to raise awareness of the impact HIV/AIDS continues to have on Western New York. Proceeds benefit AIDS Community Services of WNY.

“I am happy to announce that this will be the second year in a row that ECC will be participating in the AIDS Walk Buffalo. It is a great event for Western New York and an excellent opportunity for our students to become more involved in the community,” Quinn said.

Registration begins at Hoyt Lake at 10 a.m., followed by a symbolic flower launch. The route goes through some of Buffalo's most picturesque neighborhoods, culminating in a barbeque picnic lunch in the park and awards presentation at 1 p.m.
