Six ECC faculty, staff receive 2009 SUNY Chancellor’s Award
Six Erie Community College faculty and staff have been selected as recipients of the prestigious 2009 SUNY Chancellor’s Award, ECC President Jack Quinn announced Monday, June 29, 2009.
The SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching was awarded to Mathematics Professor Linda Kuroski, Health, Physical Education and Recreation Associate Professor Timothy McQuade, English Professor Phyllis MacCameron, Biology Professor Carol Mack and English Professor Lorraine Sturm.
The SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence Professional Service was awarded to Verlaine Quinniey, principal counselor at ECC’s North Campus.
The SUNY Chancellor’s Awards recognize extraordinary professional achievement and the personal commitment and dedication of the faculty and professional staff throughout the SUNY system.
“It is a great pleasure to present the Chancellor’s Awards for Excellence to these remarkable members of the SUNY community from schools across the state,” SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher said. “These awards honor excellence in the classroom and within the wonderful communities that host our campuses. Congratulations to all of the faculty and staff receiving these awards and thank you for your continued commitment to educating and mentoring our students.”

On behalf of the ECC community, we are very proud to have these individuals as colleagues.”
Each honoree will be presented with a medallion and certificate from SUNY. In addition, winners will receive a $500 professional development stipend.
