The 17th Annual ECC Foundation Golf Classic will be held Monday, July 20, 2009 at Brookfield Country Club in Clarence, NY.

Registration for the tournament, sponsored by Seneca Data, will be at 11 a.m. and there will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m.

The event will also feature hors d’oeuvres, dinner, a silent auction, Chinese auction, a 50/50 raffle, wine tasting by Taryn Lewis and beer tasting by Flying Bison Brewing Company.

This year’s golf classic is being held in honor of ECC Foundation board member Michael C. Schafer, who passed away suddenly on March 14, 2009.

Schafer, who was vice president of commercial lending at Evans National Bank, had been an active member of the Foundation Board since 2002, serving as treasurer in 2005 and as president from 2006-2008. During his tenure, he was a key member of the Foundation Golf Classic Committee.
