E.M. Statler Dining Room recognized by American Culinary Federation
Erie Community College’s E.M. Statler Dining Room at City Campus received the American Culinary Federation’s Achievement of Excellence award in the Culinary Program Full-Service Restaurant Facility category at the 2009 ACF National Convention held in Orlando, Fla., July 11-14, 2009.
The E.M. Statler Dining Room, operated by second-year Culinary Arts students at ECC's City Campus, is open from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Tuesday through Friday during the academic year.
“I would like to congratulate the staff and students of the E.M. Statler Dining Room at City Campus,” ECC President Jack Quinn said. “I invite everyone who works in downtown Buffalo to stop by our City Campus and try the Statler Room for lunch to experience its award-winning menu and service.”
The ACF convention provided hundreds of chefs, cooks, students and food service professionals from throughout the country with opportunities to advance their professional development and enhance their culinary skills through workshops and seminars, demonstrations, a trade show featuring more than 100 exhibitors, national competitions and ACF's annual national awards.
