ECC to host Computer Science Teacher Association conference October 16
Erie Community College is sponsoring the Western New York Computer Science Teachers Association’s fall conference, “Creating a Network: Connecting K through 16 Computing in WNY,” to be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009 at the college’s North Campus, 6205 Main St., Williamsville, NY.

The conference is open to all K-12 and college computer teachers who would like to learn more about computing and computing careers.

Conference topics include:
• Engaging Students: Recruiting for your computing classes
• Career Outlook: Computing careers in demand and information about new college programs
• Classroom-ready computing lessons to use tomorrow

There is no cost to attend and professional development hours may be available.
