1. Admissions Application - Complete your Application Form and mail or bring it to the Campus Campus Admissions Office where your program choice is located. Check off on the application if you wish to be considered for EOP.
Required Items:
a) High School Transcripts
b) Copy of GED
c) Social Security #
d) College Transcripts if you have previously attended
2. Acceptance Letter - will be provided by Admissions Counselor or mailed to your permanent address.
Required Items:
a) Retain Copy as proof of acceptance.
3. Admissions Deposit - In most instances a deposit of $50.00 will be required (Fall only). Payment due by date on invoice. Contact the Campus Admissions Office if you have questions regarding the deposit.
4. Financial Aid - Immediately following the filing of your application, which is available from the Campus Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Form takes 6 weeks for processing. The priority deadline for campus-based aid is APRIL 30.
Required Items:
a) Income Tax Form 1040 or other proof of income may be required for specific grant aid. i.e. EOP.
b) Student must be accepted in a program of study by Admissions Office in order to receive financial aid.
5. Pre-Testing - All accepted applicants to Erie are required to take a Math/English Pre-Test. Results of the test are used to assist faculty to advise you on your course selection.
Required Items
a) Social Security Number
b) Two #2 pencils
c) Approximately three hours of your time
d) Students with prior college credit in Math or English must bring a college transcript to test center for evaluation and waiver.
6. Advisement/Registration - All students are assigned to an advisor. All students must see an advisor before registering for courses. Students will be notified by mail regarding the registration dates. Generally, the earlier the placement tests are taken, the earlier registration is offered.
Required Items:
a) Carry copy of Acceptance Letter to Registration.
b) Carry copies of financial aid award notices to registration.
7. Billing/Tuition - The schedule provided at the time of registration is also a bill. The tuition must be paid by the date printed on the schedule. Cancellation and/or late charge will occur if the bill is not paid on time. Subsequent registration will include a late fee charge. Financial Aid can be used for payment of the tuition only when an award notice has been received by the College.
8. Orientation - All new students will be expected to attend an orientation at the Campus. Notification will be sent regarding the date and time of the Campus session. For further information, contact the Campus Admissions Office or Dean of Students.
9. Drop/Add - A few days are provided at the beginning of each semester to allow students an opportunity to adjust their schedules.
Required Items:
a) Permission of advisor is required for all changes
b) Copy of original schedule.
10. Withdrawal - It is important for a student to be aware that withdrawing from a course or the program should be done with deliberation. Course withdrawals must be approved by the academic advisor and forms are available in the Registrar's Office. Forms to withdraw from college can be obtained in the Campus Counseling Center. Refunds are not provided to students who fail to attend class, who do not complete and official withdrawal form, or withdraw after the third week of classes.
