Coaching Staff

Craig Starzynski - Head Coach

Coach Starzynski took over the program in the 2006 season after previously coaching at Mt. Mercy Academy. Craig is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College with a degree in physical education and health education.

He's enjoyed success playing at both the high school and collegiate levels by winning a State Championship for Frontier High School in 1998 and as captain for the Baldwin-Wallace Yellow Jackets.

Craig has also coached very successful boys and girls club volleyball teams including Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club, WNY Storm, and Boys Southtowns. Through his club teams, Craig has coached alongside some of the best volleyball minds in the NorthEast US.

Coach Star’s teams here at Erie have improved their record every year since he’s come on in ’06. The Erie Kats have emerged back onto the ‘volleyball map’ and show no signs of slowing down. With the exciting and winning attitude Coach Star brings to the volleyball program, he’s looking forward to continued success with the Erie Kats.

Karen Stoklosa - Assistant Coach

Karen Stoklosa has worked with Coach Star for two seasons. Karen, an All-WNY volleyball player in high school, went on to play at DII Clarion University. Karen brings a wealth of volleyball knowledge, along with a positive attitude to the Erie Kats Volleyball program.
