Career Pathways

imageThe WNY Career Pathways Consortium (WNYCP) is a partnership of school districts, BOCES, and community colleges which work together to deliver and promote Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. CTE focuses on delivering industry based education to students through applied learning. CTE programs are offered in WNY through these partner schools in all five counties of WNY. In the WNY region, the Career Pathways Consortium focuses on programs in Automotive Technology, Advanced Manufacturing/Engineering, Information Technology, Business, and Health Science. Through this Consortium, various activities are funded throughout the year  that promote technical education such as student competitions, professional development events, and summer programs.

Students who complete CTE education in high school and follow that pathway to college have the opportunity to earn college credit through articulation agreements. Students can also earn credit while in high school through concurrent enrollment programs.
