2009 Distinguished Alumni Awards
The Erie Community College Foundation will be honoring seven very deserving individuals at the 16th Annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Dinner on October 28, 2009, at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens on Transit Road in Depew, New York.
The Distinguished Alumni Awards are given annually to ECC graduates who have achieved success in their chosen careers or fields of expertise and who have made significant contributions to the community. This year's awards recipients are... Gordon T. Ballard ’82, Communications Equipment Technology, Account Executive, AdStuff; James M. Binner ‘88 – Hospitality Management, Marketing Manager, Product Manager & Corporate Chef, Sorrento Lactalis, Inc.; Althea E. Leuhrsen ’97 - Liberal Arts, General Studies, Assistant Vice-President, Corporate & Foundation Relations, University at Buffalo; Catherine A. Rybczynski ’86 – Business Administration, Town Clerk, Town of Hamburg, NY; Arturo C. Salas ‘79 – Ophthalmic Dispensing, Assistant Vice-President, Costco Wholesale Optical.
The Distinguished Alumni Employee Award will be presented to... Kenneth D. Duke ’78 & ’86 – Criminal Justice & Data Processing, Master Electronic Technician, Erie Community College.
The Louis J. Billittier Honorary Alumni Award is presented to a non-alumnus whose past, present, and potential professional, personal, civic, and philanthropic pursuits reflect the high standards and values associated with ECC and educational opportunities. This year's recipient is... Marie Bartolotta - Dean for Institutional Planning, Assessment & Grants, Retired, Erie Community College.
