ECC Foundation 16th Annual Golf Classic

128 golfers participated in the Erie Community College Foundation’s 16th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 23, 2008, at the Wanakah Country Club in Hamburg. Seneca Data was Tournament Sponsor and M & T Bank was the Major Sponsor. Robert Stievater from Stievater + Associates:  Architects was the Chairman and committee members were Ann Hughes, Mary Jo Dennee, Linda Jesonowski, Mike Schafer, Mark Martin, Lance Konkle, Eileen Flaherty, Paul Lamanna, Don Spasiano, Greg Cecchini, and Amy Krasinski.

Over $36,000 was raised at the event (almost 9% more than last year) and proceeds from the tournament directly benefit the Foundation’s student scholarship fund.

It was a beautiful day with blue skies and 70 degree weather. The event began with a shotgun start at
1:00 p.m. ECC faculty, staff, and businesses participated in 18 holes of golf in a scramble format. Lunch, prizes, entry in tournament contests, cigars, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, dinner stations, Chinese and silent Auction, and an award presentation were all part of the enjoyable day. $50.00 Golf Galaxy gift cards were presented to the Tournament and Major Sponsors. Each golfer received a car tool set as their participant gift.
