Department Prefix 888 (Course Name) 1-6 cr. hrs.
Designates a course taken at another institution and accepted for transfer credit by the department. This course number is used whenever no comparable course exists in the college catalog. This course number may appear more than once on a student transcript.
Department Prefix 998 (Course Name) Variable Credit
Designates a new course offered by the department which is being evaluated as to the appropriateness of the course to the major and/or the interest of students in enrolling in this particular topic. This course number may appear more than once on a student transcript.

Students will be helped in becoming knowledgeable career planners. Skills such as self-assessment, career search, identifying individual career options, and decision making as they relate to career choice will be presented by the counselors as students are guided through the career planning process. Note: This course is presented for three contact hours per week for the first five weeks of the semester. F/S (C, N, S) | | | | GS-113 | | GSP CONSORTIUM I | | This course is specifically designed for students enrolled in the Coordinated Studies program: students' undecided of a specific program and interested in exploring career optios. This course provides students with oppurtunities to explore, experience and assess career options within one of our college divisional academic programs:Health Services, Business/Public Service and Technology. This course is designed to provide these students with knowledge, skills and understanding necessary to initate serious career assessment:critical thinking and goal setting skills: motivational and how one's attitude towared change is significant for success. Interaction with speakers and exposure to various career interest inventories. Students will also experience an enahanced understanding of 'community' and the positive aspects, privilegs and responsibilities of community involvement. | | | | GS-114 | | GSP CONSORTIUM II | | This course is a continutation of Consortium I with enhanced focus on the selected programs the students are interested /pre-registered.
