At each campus, the Career Resource Center assists graduates in establishing their careers and offers undergraduates guidance in planning interim employment while pursuing their degrees. To achieve these goals, the Career Resource Center plans departmental seminars to assist students in setting and achieving career goals, assists in resume preparation, and offers seminars on interviewing techniques. A “Discover’’ system that produces computer-assisted listings of occupations and educational opportunities facilitates the planning and placement process.
Prospective employers recruit and interview at each of the campuses. Career Fairs are held for the allied health division, general employment opportunities, temporary and summer positions, and job opportunities in government service.
On-site Discover testing is provided at local high schools and agencies in support of outreach in the areas of career development and academic planning. Outreach career services are provided for employees of industries that are downsizing.
