BUFFALO—SUNY Erie Community College’s regionally lauded Nursing
Program was recently recognized as one of New York’s best—and tops in Erie and
Niagara counties—by vocational website RegisteredNursing.org.
“This is great recognition for the college, and a well-deserved
honor for a program that continues to provide students with the best
career-focused nursing training in the region,” said ECC President Jack Quinn.
Based on factors associated with exam pass rates studied over a
five-year period, ECC ranked 22nd out of 99 analyzed registered
nursing programs in the state.
Consistently ranked as one of the region’s best, ECC’s Nursing
Program is one of the school’s most popular concentrations, and one that successfully
connects its students to medical positions throughout the region. Graduates
annually find employment as registered nurses in hospitals, public health
agencies, nursing homes, extended care facilities, home health care agencies,
government health agencies, schools, military, law offices and other health
