Transportation FAQs

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How can I apply for a CRAM Pass?

No need to apply, students who are assessed a transportation fee and have an ECC ID will automatically receive a CRAM Pass. Report to the designated locations for pick-up around the 3rd week of classes. You will need to bring:

      • Current course schedule/tuition bill
      • Valid ECC ID card

Effective the first day of classes, student may use their ECC ID as valid fare on any NFTA bus or rail.

    2. Can I have both the CRAM Pass and a parking permit?

Yes and there is NO extra cost to do so. We encourage students to utilize all transportation services available to them.
    3. Can I still use my CRAM Pass if I withdraw from all my classes/drop-out?

No, your CRAM Pass will be disabled after you withdraw from your classes because in order for you to utilize the CRAM Pass you MUST be a student.
    4. Can I let someone else use my CRAM Pass?

No. If you abuse your privileges and let someone else use your CRAM Pass the bus operator may confiscate the pass and it will be difficult for you to get a replacement.
    5. I lost my CRAM Pass, what should I do?

Lost, stolen or cracked CRAM Passes may be replaced for two money orders (1) $15 and (1) $5 (total $20). Personal checks, cash or credit card will not be accepted. Replacement CRAM Passes can take 7 to 10 business days to come in. Until your replacement CRAM Pass arrives, you will be responsible for the payment of the bus or rail fare to utilize the NFTA.
    6. How can I obtain a parking sticker?

You will need to bring the following to campus security: class schedule, Original vehicle registration and ECC ID. The parking permit is valid on any of ECC’s three campuses.
    7. My program is at North campus, but live near City. Does ECC offer a shuttle for students to travel to each campus?

Yes! Schedule information can be found here.
    8. If I do not use the bus can I receive a fee waiver?

The transportation fee is non-refundable. However in addition to the Unlimited Metro and Rail CRAM pass, the fee funds parking at each campus, the Inter-campus shuttle service and other parking features such as the blue safety lights.
    9. If I'm approved to ride the Para-transit, can I use the CRAM Pass or do I need to still purchase rides?

If you are approved to ride the Paratransit, you can use your University Pass without paying for each ride. For information about Paratransit, please visit the NFTA webpage at http://metro.nfta.com/Paratransit/Paratransit.aspx.
    10. How will I know if the shuttle is running late due to inclement weather or other emergency?

Please sign up for the transportation RAVE alert to get email and text message notifications when the shuttle is running late. You must register for the transportation alert in addition to the class cancellation to receive notifications for both.
