SUNY Erie Community College acknowledges an authorized representative of the institution has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement and the institution intends to use no less than 50% the funds received under the American Rescue Plan to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students.

Awards vary by enrollment level, FT- full-time; PT – part-time. 

SUNY Erie Community College will be prioritizing awarding of Emergency Financial Aid Grants to its students in the following manner for the Fall 2021 semester:

Instructions Will be Provided via Email to Students for HEERF III funds:
In response to the coronavirus pandemic, funds have been made available through the ARP Act (HEERF III) to award emergency grants to students for expenses related to the any component of the student’s cost of attendance or for emergency costs that arise due to coronavirus.

Eligible expenses, include tuition, food, housing, health care (including mental health care), or childcare. This is not a loan and will not need to be paid back and will not affect your financial aid award amounts for academic year 2020-2021 or academic year 2021-2022. These funds will pay directly to your Student Account and will go to your preferred refund preference.

Students must understand it is their responsibility to notify the Student Accounts Office immediately if they will not incur expenses that meet or exceed the amount of their emergency grant.

Quarterly Report - Dec. 31, 2021:
As of Dec. 31, 2021, SUNY Erie has distributed $11,119,150 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of Dec. 31, 2021 is 3,979.

As of March 31, 2022, SUNY Erie has distributed $11,119,150 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of March 31, 2022 is 3,979.

Quarterly Report - June 30, 2022:
As of June 30, 2022, SUNY Erie has distributed $13,003,387 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of June 30, 2022 is 5,440.

Quarterly Report - Sept. 30, 2022:
As of Sept. 30, 2022, SUNY Erie has distributed $12,960,049 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of Sept. 30, 2022 is 5,262.

Quarterly Report - Dec. 31, 2022:
As of Dec. 31, 2022, SUNY Erie has distributed $0 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of Dec. 31, 2022 is 0.

Quarterly Report – March 31, 2023:
As of March 31, 2023, SUNY Erie has distributed $ 20,402 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of March 31, 2023, is 18.

Quarterly Report – June 30, 2023:
As of June 30, 2023, SUNY Erie has distributed $ 29,641.00 to students. The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant as of June 30, 2023, is 34.
