John believes that his college-level teaching experience and curriculum design, his experiences with the New York State Police, and the graduate-level education he received at Albany University have provided the necessary skills for the position of college safety and security director.

Although new to SUNY Erie, Dr. Mary Lou D’Allegro is no stranger to higher education. She has over twenty years’ experience as both an educator and administrator in colleges around the country.

Dr. Dana Horne is a seasoned student affairs leader with over 25 years of experience dedicated to advancing student success, equity, and wellbeing. She was recently hired and now serves as the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at SUNY Erie, where she provides strategic leadership for student services across multiple campuses. Her work is rooted in a trauma-informed, student-centered approach that prioritizes compassion, accountability, and inclusion.
