During the event, you will have the opportunity to learn about important college resources, meet staff, ask questions, and better understand the steps you need to take for a successful start. Students will also receive campus-specific information, so they know what to expect and where to go. Our goal is to help you feel welcomed, supported, and ready to begin your journey at SUNY Erie.

Starting your journey at SUNY Erie is an exciting step, and a little preparation can
make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and successful first semester. To help
you get off to the right start, we’ve outlined a few key steps you should complete
before classes begin. Taking care of these items ahead of time will position you for
a stress-free start to the semester.
Students with questions about any of these topics can use Conex ED to meet virtually
with many of our on-campus departments, including financial aid, admissions, and student
accounts.
The MyECC portal provides access to student academic and financial information. You
have access to the MyECC portal within 48 hours of being admitted.

The Office of Financial Aid at SUNY Erie Community College helps students through
the financial aid process. Any student accepted into a degree or certificate program
and taking one or more classes may apply for financial aid.
Complete the Free Application for Student Aid FAFSA online at https://studentaid.gov
