Safety, Community Engagement, Professionalism

The SUNY Erie College Safety & Security Department exists to provide safety and service to the college community by protecting our campus citizens from the threat of physical harm, property damage, and other disruptive behavior. We strive to build and maintain a high level of community engagement between campus constituents and our department. We maintain close relationships with neighboring Law Enforcement Agencies who assist us in providing various services as we strive to carry out the overall goals of the College.

The primary services of the SUNY Erie College Safety & Security Department include:
  • Enforcement of Federal, State, and Local statutes,
  • Enforcement of SUNY Erie regulations,
  • Crime prevention initiatives through education,
  • Provide emergency services for the injured and ill,
  • Traffic and parking control,
  • Fire prevention, and
  • Miscellaneous safety services.
