Only in-season, approved student athletes and international students are permitted to stay on-campus during break periods.

    Is summer housing available?
Yes, at an additional cost. Information on summer housing will be made available during the academic year.

Are athletes who have pre-season commitments allowed to move-in early?
Yes. Specific move-in dates and times will be coordinated and communicated through the SUNY Erie athletic department.

What services are available to international students who choose to live in the Delavan Townhouses?
We understand that students living abroad and away from their home country have different needs, so there are systems in place to support international students. International students may stay in their apartment during all academic breaks (fall break, winter break, spring break) at no additional cost. Canisius College offers a Global Horizons club that many international and domestic students participate in, as it provides an opportunity to explore themes of global cultural connectivity. The International Student Programs office at Canisius and the Global Education and International Student Support (GEISS) office at SUNY Erie are also available to assist with any questions that international students have.

    How are roommates assigned?
Housing is assigned based on an online housing application that all incoming deposited students fill out. The application asks questions such as: are you a morning person?, What are your hobbies?, etc. This is also where students may request specific students they wish to be matched with. The date that the incoming student makes their deposit is also used to determine whether or not they receive roommate preference.

Will there be a Resident Assistant (RA) on-site if I have an issue?
There are RAs assigned to each floor of the Delavan Townhouses. The RA works to create a community among the students through programming, assisting students in need, enforcing college policies, and serving as a mentor.

Can I get my housing deposit back if I decide not to move in?
The $200 housing deposit holds your space in housing and will be applied to your housing bill. Should you decide not to move in or if you are not paid in full by the move in date, your deposit will be refunded via check to the mailing address we have on file for you within 30 days of your room cancellation or applied to your student bill if you have a current balance.

What services at Canisius College may I utilize?
SUNY Erie students living in the Delavan Townhouses have full access to the services offered at Canisius, with the exception of tutoring services. SUNY Erie students in need of tutoring should contact their SUNY Erie academic department or the Dean of Students office on their campus.

How do I get to and from campus for my classes?

All SUNY Erie students also receive a metro pass to use on all NFTA Bus and Metrorail lines, in addition to parking permits for both the SUNY Erie and Canisius College designated lots.
