SUNY Erie Celebrates a Successful Athletics Season

SUNY Erie Community College proudly celebrates a successful athletics season, with multiple teams and athletes earning regional championship titles.

The SUNY Erie Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams delivered a strong performance throughout the season, highlighted by an impressive second-place finish at the NJCAA Region III Championship. Three student-athletes earned All-Region honors, demonstrating the team’s depth and dedication.

In women’s volleyball, the Kats captured the WNYAC Championship title, a testament to their hard work and teamwork throughout the season. Six athletes were named to the All-Conference Team, and Head Coach Matt Starzynski was honored as Coach of the Year. The team also secured a second-place finish at the NJCAA Region III Championship.

SUNY Erie’s Men’s and Women’s Bowling teams capped off the season by winning the NJCAA Region III Championships. Six bowlers earned All-Region Team honors, reinforcing the program’s dominant presence in the region.
