Celebrating Kennedy Sparks: 2025 Graduate Spotlight
Kennedy Sparks’ journey into the nursing field began with a deep personal experience, caring for her sick mother. During the pandemic, her desire to help others grew stronger, solidifying her decision to pursue nursing as a career.
From Ohio, Kennedy made the move to Buffalo, New York, putting her trust in SUNY Erie Community College to help her achieve her academic goals. With roots going back to her high school days in Virginia, she brings a compassionate heart, determination and a powerful sense of purpose to her studies.
“What drew me here was the education opportunity,” said Sparks. “I have opened so many doors for myself.”
“Everybody in the Nursing program has become very tight and we’ve supported each other through this.”
We’re proud to support Kennedy on her path now as a patient care technician at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her story reminds us how life’s hardest moments can inspire the greatest callings.
Congratulations Kennedy!
