Driving Programs

The Driver Training program's concepts are based on individual choice and responsibility, and on the relationship between personal attitudes, values, and behavior. This division's goal is not only to provide information and create safety awareness to Western New York residents, but also to have participants recognize the drastic impact those violations and accidents have on the local community.

This division is the largest provider of safety training in New York State with over twenty years of experience in delivering service to the judicial community.  The department offers several traffic safety programs for both court referred clients and the general public. The curricula are designed specifically for the different needs and type of drivers in those classes.

The department offers the following driver training programs to the general public:

NYS Point/Insurance Reduction Program
Five-Hour Prelicensing Course
