Green Energy Training
Become a Nationally Certified Green Energy Professional!

ECC's Department of Workforce Development has established Green Energy professional development training programs to support the tremendous opportunity for job hunters and career changers to pursue Green Jobs.

What is a Green Job? Green Jobs are well-paid, career-track jobs that contribute directly to preserving or enhancing environmental quality. Such jobs are arising because of the need to address global warming pollution caused by burning fossil fuels, and also because of the need to develop sources of clean, renewable energy, like wind, solar and geothermal.

Through these certification courses, learn how to use the "whole house" performance based approach to understand how the house works as a system. The latest building science technology enables you to provide clients with a more comfortable, safe, durable, and energy efficient home.

ECC's Green Energy training courses, which include both classroom sessions and field experience, will help you prepare for the Building Performance Institute's (BPI) written and field exams.

ECC Workforce Development is proud to partner with NYSERDA and the Center of Energy Efficiency and Building Science (CEEBS) at Hudson Valley Community College to provide our energy efficiency and renewable energy courses.

The Building Performance Institute provides the national credentialing for both the classroom and field training.
