Clinton Ronan graduated from Erie Community College with a degree in Business Administration despite dealing with a learning disorder. He is now a Command Chief Master Sergeant in the 22nd Air Force at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in George. He is also a Team Leader with the Defense Contract Management Agencies Navy Special Emphasis Operation in Buffalo.

As someone who once struggled with a learning disorder and never thought school was for him, Clint Ronan has overcome his challenges and is an advocate for others to continue their education and invest in themselves.  He is now a Command Chief Master Sergeant at the 22nd Air Force, Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Georgia. Chief Ronan enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in April 1991 and began his Air Force career as an Aerospace Propulsion Specialist with the 914th Maintenance Squadron.

Chief Ronan advises the commander on readiness concerns, morale, welfare, and the effective utilization of more than 13,235 assigned enlisted personnel. He also provides guidance to nine assigned Chief Master Sergeants and performs as the functional manager for 134 Number Air Force First Sergeants. He is the liaison and spokesperson between the enlisted force and the commander. Additionally, he represents the command’s enlisted force at a variety of military and civilian conferences, forums and speaking engagements. Lastly, he serves as the commander’s representative to Numbered Air Force and Air Force Reserve Command committees, councils, boards, and military and civilian functions.

In 2003, during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Chief Ronan served as a Propulsion Journeyman for the Maintenance Squadron. In 2006, he deployed again to Southwest Asia as the 746th Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron Flight Chief in Southwest Asia. Prior to his current position, Chief Ronan was selected as the 914th Airlift Wing Command Chief in 2011. In his civilian life, Chief Ronan is a Team Leader with the Defense Contract Management Agencies Navy Special Emphasis Operations in Buffalo.
