Seven students have been named as recipients of the prestigious SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence. This award acknowledges students who have been recognized for excellence at their institution. The honorees have integrated academic excellence with other aspects of their lives, including leadership, athletics, community service, creative and performing arts, entrepreneurship or career achievement.

The ECC Veteran's Achievement Medal is awarded to a graduating veteran who has served honorably in the United States Military, and has been recognized for his/her contributions to the college and community by their peers and professors. The student veteran who receives this award has also achieved excellence in academics, as well as in servicing our community, and has served this great nation with the highest of patriotic standards. The student that receives this award represents the contributions of our student veterans who have come before and will come after.
